RDC Outdoors, for now, is an idea. A passion project of sorts that has advanced to a website and has endless possibilities. Business? Guide service? Who knows?!
My grandparents, Ralph & Winnis, bought hunting land in Northern Minnesota in 1999. The original "deer camp" was a 1970's Prowler camper, upgraded to a parked Pace Arrow motor home, and finally my family has built a permanent cabin now known as Ralph's Deer Camp!
Growing up in the outdoors was and is what has made me who I am today. I still constantly desire the quiet and peacefulness of the woods and the water. It's where I feel most comfortable and do my best thinking. As an avid outdoorsman, I spend as much time outdoors; chasing Turkeys in the spring, Trout and other species on the fly all summer, camping, hiking, and I turn my focus to waterfowl, upland bird, and deer hunting in the fall. I prefer to share these adventures with friends and family and I always welcome a newcomer to tag along!
I don't claim to be a profound writer but I do enjoy it. I have begun a collection of short stories of my time spent outdoors (both successes and "failures") from my youth to present. This is a labor of love which will continue to grow and something I look forward to sharing with my friends and family that have joined me in my adventures.
In the meantime, I wanted to begin this blog with the goal of writing more often and sharing my passion for the outdoors.
